excersise your right to drink help us celebrate 21st ammendment day. the twenty first ammendment gives you the right to drink alcohol, do it
Greetings friends, newcomers, and booze hounds,

Since you made it to this site, I am guessing you already know that it is dedicated to all things alcoholic. But, what you may have missed is that this site is also fighting to promote a new holiday. Yup you guessed it, 21st Amendment Day. Sunday, December 5th marks the 71st anniversary of the passage of the 21st Amendment, and the 3rd anniversary of this glorious holiday. Now I am not here for a history lesson as I am sure you aren't either, but just in case anyone feels a little lost, the 21st Amendment repealed prohibition.

Now, each year I like to suggest a toast to recognize certain events and people in the history of alcohol, as you may remember, last year was dedicated to congress, bootleggers, and speakeasies. This year I would like everyone to raise a glass a think of all the good that has come from alcohol. Without absinthe would Van Gogh have made anything worth while? Would distilled water have ever been invented? Over 980,000 people are employed by liquor manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in the US alone. Would any of them have jobs if it weren't for the 21st amendment? Would you have hooked up with that hot guy/girl without the aid of some liquid courage? Would your parents have forgotten to practice "safe sex" allowing you to be born if they hadn't been a little tipsy? As I am sure you can see by now, alcohol effects our entire world, so raise a glass, and try your damnedest to get the thought of your parents having sex out of your mind.

Please remember that this holiday is only successful as long as people participate. So please alert all of your friends and loved ones, and on December 5th ensure that this holiday makes its presence known.
Also, because this holiday only works if people participate, please be safe and don't drink and drive, otherwise 21st amendment day will be relegated to the same holiday anonymity as Flag day.

Cheers,

Peter Pearce
